Sune Anderberg has written a reportage from this year’s Pulsar Festival for the webmagazine Seismograf. Several pieces from the festival are mentioned, including my piece Air for piccolo flute, violin and viola.
Sune Anderberg writes: “The wind blows were the same in Allan Gravgaard Madsen’s Air (2015), but the irony was replaced by fervour. The trio consists of piccolo flute, violin and viola, and the tempo is patient. In long passages of the piece the instruments simply blows air, like with the piece of Winther Christensen. Slowly a pitch appears on stage, and in four movements the composer gently moves between pitch and silence and air.”
